Our Umar had his first grub today, at 5 and a half months 
Don’t ask me how I decided he was ready… all the literature I read indicates that he is, and I guess it just felt like the right time. We started with Heinz organic rice cereal mixed with breastmilk, and eager little Umar lapped it up like it wasn’t his first!

He looks like he’s been waiting his whole life for this moment
I should show my mom this, for some reason she’s worried my baby won’t eat because apparently we were all such fussy eaters she was most stressed up about our eating habits as we all were poor eaters and very small sized babies! Maybe she’ll have some hope seeing ‘Umar go for it!

hahah i like that waiting his whole life bit!
tell your mom not to worry. breastfed babies are apparently less fussy eaters, cos they are used to the changing taste of mommy’s milk. He seems happy with the rice cereal so far, and we’ll be introducing strained veggies and fruits of the next month.. so stay tuned!

Farhan is rite!! It does seem he has been waiting for his first grub for the longest time! Hahahha! He’s so cute!!!
