hmn...i think it depends on service. i didn't even have to ask, the stewardess saw me holding the bottle and she took the initative to ask me if i wanted water for it.

most airlines do not allow water/liquids in your hand-carry. it's either you carry ready made formula or milk powder. if you want water to make the milk, they will say water is available on board the air craft.

I guess in humid countries its best to quickly change and pat him dry or he will get sick. Maldives was very dry and warm so he never stayed wet for long. I forgot to mention one very crucial item that I bring in my beach bag is minyak telon! Works wonders to warm him up after a swim.

The stewardess, as my friend pointed out, does not help with food/beverage before and just after take off as they're busy with something else. best be prepared with warm water in thermos or whatever.

Hi Yu! I should have mentioned that I stopped using the sanitiser when I realised it was impossible to make sure my son doesn't put his hands in his mouth. Stick to good ol' soap and water for those little hands.. they are the safest!

Hi..thanx so much for the great tips.

I'm planing to travel with my 3 1/2 months girl to Thailand. I was wondering what kind of sanitiser spray you used with Umar coz I was told to always keep my little one's hands clean as well. I'm worried about the H1N1 flu too. It's such a long flight.

Hi Sis..

Thanks for the travelling tips with baby :) My son's a toddler now so he's toughie on board. I was alone n he didnt want to be strapped down during takeoff so u can imagine how tough it was. You're right, todds r not interested in toys tt much once they're on board.Next time,i'll prepare a 'present' for him, wrapped in many wrapping papers to keep him occupied on board. he loves to walk along the aisle too so hv to keep awake to jaga him. :)

I think both stroller n a baby carrier(i carry the most lightest carrier, lighter to pack heh) are important, depending where we're heading of course.Dont wanna have too much to lug ard, esp if travelling alone or w/o the husb.

I think Umar will get used to flying as soon as he's all grown up,looking at how frequent u travel hehehe..insyaAllah! Oh, n i use a Canon ixus 90is only, nothing fancy. :)

this post is really useful, thanks for sharing! tho i'm not sure when we'll pluck up the courage to bring our 3 boys on a vacation. heheh. when we went to sunway lagoon last yr, Luqman was abt 20 mo while Khidir was 6 mo. Khidir was an angel during the road journey while Luqman 'entertained' us with his screams. We were so nervous abt handling our 2 children on our own that we brought both sets of grandparents along, plus my SIL n my niece. hehehe
